Donations to the Clinton Public Library
The Clinton Public Library welcomes a variety of donations to enrich its collection and support its mission. Here are some of the ways you can contribute:
- Book Donations: The library accepts gift books, but only those that are useful to the collection. Items that are duplicates, outdated, or in poor condition may not be accepted. 1
- Monetary Contributions: Cash donations can be made for book purchases or other projects. A special form is required for these donations. 1
- Real Property, Stocks, and Bonds: These can also be donated, but they must be given to the library without restrictions. 1
- Memorial Donations: Donations can be made in memory of individuals, with the library choosing books that reflect the interests of the honored person. 1
- Friends of the Library: The library appreciates donations from the Friends of the Library to help raise funds for various projects. 1
All donations are subject to the approval of the Library Director and the Library Board of Library Trustees, and they must comply with Iowa law. The library’s gift remembrance book records all accepted donations and memorials.
